Earlier this month, I reached out to some local wedding planners and talked with them about their businesses. We have an amazing wedding vendor community on the Central Coast! There’s really no better way to show you how incredible it is than to feature some of the vendors on my site! It’s an honor to be able to work with the teams that come together for each and every wedding we have in San Luis Obispo County and I can’t wait to get started this season.
This month, I’m taking a look at AllyRose Events. We chatted on the phone for a bit and I liked her right away! She has a kind and happy personality, which fits me just right! She really wants to make sure her clients have the wedding of their dreams and I just know she’ll do everything she can to make it happen! Here’s what she has to say.
Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and what your company does?
I enjoy several relaxing adventures while not running weddings. Hot tubs with wine are a common spot to find me on a Tuesday evening. In fact, I enjoy wine so much I also work in the wine industry, when I’m not kicking butt running the best day of peoples lives, of course. I have 2 rescued white cats so I always have a lint roller on me. Ones name is Buddah (and boy is he chubby) and the other is Pits (his fun fact is that he was born missing a foot). They are brothers and both very cuddly.
What is something that sets you apart from other wedding coordinators or planners in the area?
I began in this industry running a venue so I was able to see coordinators work from the outside and got to hear everything their clients didn’t love as much. I had one bride that wanted a simple set of photos set up of her deceased grandparents and I watched their vendor say she was going to leave the pictures in a box because she “wasn’t paid to decorate”. After that I made it my personal goal to always go above and beyond for my couples and make their wedding dreams come true (no matter the budget).
Do you see any new trends for weddings this year?
This year has been an explosion of weddings. I think couples have been delayed so much that the overall feel of the 2022 weddings has been more relaxed. Brides aren’t as worried if one flower isn’t out of place and are focusing on the family around them.
Can you share an unforgettable story that you love?
Last year I ran a wedding for a couple where the groom was from a different country. He had been back home during the initial shutdown and it took her 4 months to get into that country to be with him. They decided to get married there in 2020 but came back to America in the summer of 2021 for a second wedding / brunch. This couple really showed that love will always find a way to be with each other. The bride had a gorgeous pastel colored wedding dress and it made for the most exciting decor for their brunch party!
What do you love about being a wedding coordinator?
What’s not to love about being a coordinator? Not only do I get to see these people share in the most beautiful moment of their lives, but I also get to help make it happen. It’s one of the best feelings to know you helped make it a nice day for them.
Is there something you wish people knew about wedding coordinators or a misconception people have?
I think a lot of people don’t understand what a coordinator can do for your wedding. We not only make sure the event runs smoothly, but if there is a problem (such as the bar running out of ice) then none of your vendors have to bug you on your special day. We are usually able to fix the problem without you ever even knowing there was one.
How do you match your clients with vendors?
Depending on budget and overall feel that they want.
Where can couples find you?
I have a contact form on my website but honestly if you have any quick questions or inquiries, I’m always available by text (805) 835-2848.
