The Santa Barbara Courthouse is one of those places that really has it all. Many couples choose to have their wedding at the courthouse not just because of cost considerations, but because of the multitude of amazing photo opportunities as well as the prime location.
As a wedding photographer, I absolutely LOVE weddings at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Here are my top reasons to get married there.
Wedding Cost
Most people who get married at the courthouse are not there for cost alone, but the low price tag can really help you budget for things like photography or flowers. The low cost of a courthouse wedding is really appealing and I totally understand! Weddings are expensive!
Since you are able to save money on the venue, you’ll have more to spend on things that will last forever. Your photos and video should be at the top of your list and here’s why…memory fades. As much as I hate to admit it, we all start to forget the details over time. That’s why pictures are so very important. They bring back the memories that you didn’t even know you forgot!
The great thing about the Santa Barbara Courthouse is that you don’t have to sacrifice beauty for the lower cost.
Location
Location, location, location….we all know how important location is, right? The Santa Barbara Courthouse is easy to get to and there is a parking structure right next to it. This offers easy access to you and your guests on the day of your wedding.
Situated in the heart of Santa Barbara, the courthouse is the perfect location to give you that beautiful, coastal weather without the harsher conditions of the beach. Plus, who wouldn’t want to say they got married in Santa Barbara…am I right?
Wedding Photo Opportunities
This is probably my favorite reason for getting married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I never tire of finding amazing places for wedding photos! The grounds are immaculate and the architecture is beautiful. Not only are the outdoor spaces great for photos, but inside the courthouse offers so many additional and unique photo locations.
The chapel is a favorite spot among couples as well as this amazing little hallway on the second floor with Spanish tile floors and gorgeous natural light. I’m practically drooling at the thought of taking more pictures there right now! It’s an amazing venue for photos and you really can’t go wrong with having your wedding photos done anywhere at the courthouse.
In case I wasn’t clear earlier…I LOVE photographing at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and I have no doubt that you will absolutely fall in love with every one of your wedding photos when you have them done there.
