Amanda and Sarah Beth
What can I say about Amanda and Sarah Beth? Oh, so much! When they called me about their wedding, they weren’t quite sure which photographer they wanted. They had several to choose from and they were having a hard time deciding. I think when we finally got to talking, we all knew that it was the perfect fit. Their fun, loving energy was the perfect compliment to mine and the magic of a wedding was made even more magical.

They were planning their wedding from a distance and I was prepared to travel. What made things even better for me was that they were getting married on the same street where I grew up! I really look for any excuse to go back to the Santa Ynez Valley and this was the perfect reason. When they asked for location ideas for their engagement shoot, I could only recommend one place…Nojoqui Falls. It’s seriously my favorite place on Earth.

Shooting an engagement session at the waterfall was a dream come true for me. I loved every second of it and the weather cooperated beautifully. Amanda and Sarah Beth didn’t hesitate once when I asked them to cross the creek and sit on a rock in the water. They didn’t bat an eye when I had them stand on a bridge surrounded by poison oak so they could have beautiful greenery behind them (we were careful not to touch it). They didn’t even mind being splashed by the waterfall after a long (well, kind of long) hike up the trail

When the wedding day came, I knew they were ready. Everything was absolutely beautiful, especially the brides. They were both ready for the day and ready to be married! No detail went unnoticed, from the gifts to each other to the flowers to the centerpieces at the reception. It was all meticulously planned to perfection. Roblar Winery was the perfect backdrop for these two beautiful women and I could not be happier for them.
